With over 40+ years’ experience as a top-level manager in the healthcare industry, Valentina brings her exceptional business savvy, nursing expertise and passion for medical esthetics to Esthetic Skin Institute. She has been one of our top educators for the past 15 years, and has trained physicians, dentists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and registered nurses how to safely and skillfully administer neurotoxins, dermal fillers and advanced treatments to their patients. She also serves as a business consultant to medical practitioners who are starting to incorporate medical esthetics into their current practice. She is state representative for the American Academy of Medical Esthetic Professionals.
Her passion for medical esthetics and anti-aging started in 1980 while working as a private nurse for Dr. Norman Hugo, Chief of Plastic Surgery, at New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center. “As a nurse who’d spent years caring for people who were very sick or dying, I loved working in a field of medicine where the patients always felt happier and more confident after treatment,” says Valentina. While working for Dr. Hugo, she became the Director of Nursing, at Unity Health Care, where she managed and placed over 5,000 private duty nurses before being promoted to Vice President of Operations in 1987.
More recently, she managed the Anti-Aging and Family Wellness Group in Southampton NY, a medical practice she started with Dr. Caroline Fierro. Advanced practice nurse injector for Dr. Joseph A.
