Course Description

This comprehensive one-day CME-CE hands-on training and certification workshop will prepare you to safely administer sclerotherapy, which is still considered the "gold standard" for the treatment of telangiectasia and reticular veins. The morning didactic lecture will address the related anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology of the lower extremities and facial telangiectasias.


The presentation will include :

  • Basic theories of treating cosmetic visual telangiectasias and reticular veins
  • Identification of the different types of veins
  • Treatment considerations and injection techniques
  • Sclerosing agents currently being used
  • Use of lasers in vein therapy
  • Consultation process and patient education to ensure compliance and positive patient outcomes


Importance will be placed on safety, avoiding potential complications/adverse events, and management thereof.


Live demonstration will explain the technique and provide one-on-one injection guidance to enhance your knowledge, preparing you for the afternoon hands-on practice session under the supervision of our expert instructors.


During the Q & A session, you will gain valuable insight and pearls on the “how to” of this unique business model for optimal success.

Course FAQs

  • Who is this course for?

    This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of clinicians (physicians, registered nurses, nurse practitioners, licensed practical nurses, physician assistants, and dentists) involved in the care of patients seeking aesthetic enhancement procedures.

  • Can I provide my own model(s)?

    Although we will be providing models, we encourage attendees to bring model (s). You will also have the opportunity to serve as a model during the practicum.


    If you will be bringing models please speak to an ESI representative regarding model eligibility criteria.

  • Are models required to pay for their participation?

    Yes, every model is required to pay an $80 deposit. This is your deposit for being a model in our classes. This deposit is non-refundable within 24 hours before your appointment day. If you have to cancel make sure to let us know more then 24 hours before the workshop so that we have time to find a replacement patient for the student. Models who do not pay their deposit are not guaranteed any spot in our classes.

    After the deposit, ESI will only charge the cost of product or less to be a model and we will always give you the cost up front.

  • How many CE hours will I receive for this course?

    Upon successful completion of the entire activity and successful return demonstration, participants will be granted 9 contact hours (CE). No partial credit will be granted.

  • What will each attendee receive upon completion of the course?

    Each attendee will receive a course manual, PP slide deck, a dropbox link with supporting forms and templates of practice documents such as consents, standardized procedure and protocol policies, purchasing sources, procedure video, and more. A certification of hands-on training will be provided upon completion of the course (mailed within 2 weeks).

  • What is your cancellation policy?

    Please note: All cancellations must be received (not postmarked) in writing via mail or fax transmission. Cancellation Policy must be strictly enforced since workshops require a great deal of planning and preparation.


    A refund will be given, less a $250.00 processing fee, if canceled at least 14 days prior to the start of the workshop. Any cancellations after this time will not qualify for a refund but may be used toward a future workshop with the approval of the administrative department of ESI.


    Since a minimum number of registrants are necessary for each course and we do not meet this minimum, or for any other reason beyond our control the course is canceled or postponed, the registration fee will be refunded in full.


    Please note, ESI is not responsible for deposits to hotels, non-refundable airline tickets or fees associated with necessary airline changes.
