Course Description

This comprehensive one-day, hands-on training workshop explores the multiple cosmetic applications of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) and Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF). In the field of aesthetics, PRP is well-known, but PRF is less familiar. Contrary to media hype, PRF is not a new procedure; it has been utilized for a long time in dentistry and wound healing. Essentially, PRF is a semi-solid form of PRP, with some additional assistance, and it can be used as a filling agent. The didactic presentation will cover PRP theory, the mechanism of action, the optimal platelet levels required for angiogenesis (as noted in studies), and questions such as whether more platelets are better and if equipment makes a difference.

The presentation will touch on PRF injections but will focus predominately on PRP as a stand-alone treatment:

  • PRP with fat grafting
  • PRP with fillers (Vampire Lift®)
  • PRP with Ablative Fractional Laser
  • RF and high-intensity Ultrasound (deep dermal heating) devices

The primary focus of the treatment protocols will be on addressing face and neck aging, as well as hair loss. Additionally, we will cover the treatment of scars, acne, stretch marks, and cellulite using PRP and PRF.

You'll also hear about other complementary modalities and protocols used with PRP to enhance treatments, such as microtrauma techniques, micro-needling, photo-stimulation, stem cell attractants, how to incorporate PPP (Platelet Poor Plasma), carboxytherapy, and mesotherapy.

The live demonstration will be performed to explain procedures and techniques, bolstering your knowledge and preparing you for hands-on practice sessions.
