Dr. Lach is a longtime Massachusetts resident After graduating from MIT, he went to Yale Medical School where he received his MD in 1981. He served as a fellow in Surgery at the Harvard Medical School and completed a surgical fellowship specializing in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in the combined Harvard Medical/Brigham and, Women’s and Children’s Hospital Program. Dr. Lach is a board certified diplomate in Plastic Surgery and Hand Surgery and is a member, officer or fellow of numerous professional organizations including the American College of Surgeons, American Society of Plastic Surgeons, American Society for Lasers in Medicine and Surgery, and the American Burn Association. He is currently President of the Boston Surgical Group, a professional corporation, and President of Laser Centers of New England, Inc.

Dr. Lach has been on the full-time academic staff of the University Of Massachusetts School Of Medicine since 1987. He is an Associate Professor with joint appointments in Surgery, Pediatrics, and Anatomy. He is the co-founder and first medical director of the University of Massachusetts Center for Advanced Clinical Technology. Dr. Lach and has been published broadly in medical journals, engineering journals, historical journals and has also written two children’s books. He contributed a section on laser treatment of vascular lesions in the Encyclopedia Britannica and is well known and sought out for his expertise in the treatment of complex surgical cases. He holds US and International patents for elimination of fat via laser intervention. He is inventor of the LaserToning, WonderLase, and WonderPeel processes.
