PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Developed in Korea, PDO (Polydioxanone) Thread Lift is a new minimally invasive technique offering a subtle and natural looking lift which can generate collagen and elastin with the effects lasting typically 1-2 years. Polydioxanone sutures have long been used in surgery for cutaneous and subcutaneous suturing more than 30 years. Considered safe and hypoallergenic, this material meets all the requirements established by the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) for suturing. PDO Absorbable Threads may be combined and compliment many existing modalities with very few contraindications and side effects, and minimal down time. The use of PDO Threads shows visible results of rejuvenation and pathological stimulation of as much as 100% new collagen. Patients confirm increased skin rejuvenation, skin lifting, brightened skin tone, increase in volume, and an improvement in skin wrinkles.
This 1-day fundamental training and certification course will provide a morning didactic will address Rejuvn8MedTM Lifting Threads. The presentation will include history, chemical and biological properties, biodegradation, indications for use, contraindications, complications and side effects, prevention and management of complications. Emphasis will be placed on technique the “cornerstone” for successful implantation and optimal results. The hands-on workshop will provide the participant with a full hands-on experience. Each participant will learn how to perform a non-surgical “face-lift” using PDO threads. Each participant will be taught how to insert smooth PDO threads in a crosshatch or basket-weave pattern for lifting and filling of the wrinkles of the upper lip. This is useful for the treatment of smokers’ lines and for emphasizing the vermillion border of the lips. Each participant will learn a foolproof method to reposition skin in order to accentuate the cheeks, diminish the jowls, and tighten the jawline. This Hands-On experience has been designed so that each participant has the same experience as his/her neighbor. Between each patient and during lunch we will discuss marketing strategies, consultation techniques, inventory control, and follow-up services provided by our PDO vendor.
A live demonstration explaining the procedure and technique will bolster your knowledge to prepare you for the hands-on practice sessions supervised by our expert instructors. Combined with ESI’s low student to instructor ratio, it will provide a tailored one-on-one experience. Each attendee will receive a PP deck slide, CD loaded with business and practice documents such as consent form, standardized procedure and protocol policies, purchasing sources and more.
NURSE CONTINUING EDUCATION
