Target Audience
This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of clinicians (physicians. nurse practitioners, registered nurses, physicians’ assistants and dentists) with injecting experience of dermal fillers in the care of patients seeking aesthetic enhancement procedures.

Course Prerequisite: The assumption and prerequisite for this course is that the attendee is an experienced injector with at least 6 months of injecting experience. The treatment must be performed by specially trained and certified medical professionals.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Calcium Hydroxyapatite (Radiesse) Hyperdilute as a Face and Body Bio-stimulatory Agent.
Calcium Hydroxyapatite is a well-established collagen stimulator. As we age our collagen and elastin production decreases and results in the development of fine lines and wrinkles as well as skin laxity in the face, neck, arms, legs, abdomen, and buttock. Calcium Hydroxyapatite (CaHA) address concerns related to skin texture and laxity due to its bio-stimulatory effect on collagen providing a refined, more youthful looking appearance. This procedure can be used by itself or in combination with other modalities, such as PDO threads, PRP/PRF, or skin tightening devices. Generally, 2-3 injection sessions
are needed to be spaced over a period of 1-2 months, whereby noticeable results emerge subtlycreating a natural appearance in the treatment area.

This one-day hands-on workshop will provide:
A morning didactic includes an overview of calcium hydroxyapatite’s history, chemical and biological properties, anatomy and physiology, facial aging, indications, and dilution protocols for treatment and microcannula techniques for cosmetic fillers. The presentation will include mechanism of calcium hydroxyapatite’s action, patient assessment, contraindications, side effects, and management of complications. During the training, you will learn injection techniques with both needle and cannula, protocols to address skin laxity and fine lines in the face and body. Live demonstration explaining the procedure and techniques will enhance your knowledge to prepare you for the hands-on practice sessions. With ESI’s low student-to-instructor ratio, our intense afternoon hands-on sessions led by our expert instructors will provide a tailored one-on-one experience.

PHYSICIAN & PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT CONTINUING EDUCATION

Note-This course is not approved for CME Cat. 1, however, this course is designed with optimal criteria which may be eligible for CME Category II credits which are self-submitted by the practitioner to their Respective State Board. Physicians & PA’s should only submit and claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Please note: All cancellations must be received (not postmarked) in writing via mail or fax transmission. Cancellation Policy will be strictly enforced since workshops require a great deal of planning and preparation.
A refund will be given, less a $200.00 processing fee, if canceled at least 14 days prior to the start of the workshop. Any cancellations after this time will not qualify for a refund but may be used toward a future workshop with the approval of the administrative department of ESI.
Since a minimum number of registrants are necessary for each course and we do not meet this minimum, or for any other reason beyond our control the course is canceled or postponed, the registration fee will be refunded in full. Please note, ESI is not responsible for deposits to hotels, non-refundable airline tickets or fees associated with necessary airline changes.
