Target Audience

This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of clinicians (physicians, registered nurses, nurse practitioners, licensed practical nurses, physician assistants, and dentists) with experience injecting Dermal Fillers in the care of patients seeking advanced aesthetic enhancement procedures.

Course Prerequisite:  The prerequisite for this course is that the attendee is an experienced injector with 6mo-1yr of continuous injecting experience with dermal fillers.  Note: Only hyaluronic acid fillers will be used for the hands-on portion of the workshop.

Program Overview

Micro-cannulas are designed to provide excellent results and have proven to be a great addition to esthetic injectors.  Many of the benefits of using blunt tip micro-cannulas are diminished bruising and swelling, less pain, less risk of vascular problems. Lastly, the blunt-tip cannulas may also stimulate collagen production because of the nature of the technique employed.

This micro-cannula hands-on training workshop will provide a morning didactic overview of facial anatomy and physiology, appropriate cosmetic indications, a brief overview of dermal fillers available for use. The presentation will include complications and side effects and management thereof, efficient injection techniques to maximize proper placement. Live demonstration explaining the procedure and techniques will bolster your knowledge to ultimately prepare you for the hands-on practice sessions.  With ESI’s low student to instructor ratio, our intense afternoon hands-on sessions led by our expert instructors will provide a tailored one-on-one experience. Each attendee will receive a PP deck slide, CD with practice documents such as consent form, standardized procedure and protocol policies template, purchasing sources and more.

PHYSICIAN & PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT CONTINUING EDUCATION

Note: This course is not approved for CME Cat. 1, however this course is designed with optimal criteria which may be eligible for CME Category II credits which are self-submitted by the practitioner to their respective State Board. Physicians and PA’s should only submit and claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Please note: All cancellations must be received (not postmarked) in writing via mail or fax transmission. Cancellation Policy must be strictly enforced since workshops require a great deal of planning and preparation.

A refund will be given, less a $200.00 processing fee, if canceled at least 14 days prior to the start of the workshop. Any cancellations after this time will not qualify for a refund but may be used toward a future workshop with the approval of the administrative department of ESI.

Since a minimum number of registrants are necessary for each course and we do not meet this minimum, or for any other reason beyond our control the course is canceled or postponed, the registration fee will be refunded in full. Please note, ESI is not responsible for deposits to hotels, non-refundable airline tickets or fees associated with necessary airline changes.
