How Esthetic Skin Institute is Handling COVID-19
*Note We are not currently holding classes, all classes scheduled for march and the beginning of April have been postponed and the students have been notified of their options, this will be for a minimum of 4 weeks, maybe more depending on the situation. these measures are for future classes that will be held when possible.
First and foremost, it is our hope that you are well and taking the necessary precautions to protect yourselves and your loved ones. We are all adjusting to the current circumstances facing us during this unprecedented time. Esthetic Skin Institute offices, will remain open for calls and information during this time (You can rest assured that we’re taking every step and precaution to minimize the impact of COVID-19.
As you’d expect, all decisions (including to continue or not continue with the class schedule) we’re making are being guided by the counsel of outside health and safety experts, including the CDC, WHO, and state and local health authorities.
Because the safety and security of our students and staff is our number-one priority, ESI has established clear, detailed protocols and procedures that will be updated as needed according to the newest information to assure we are appropriately responding to this situation.
Esthetic Skin Institute is committed, and if we choose to continue our training sessions when appropriate, it will be done in a safe and responsible manner. We want to reassure our past and present students that we are implementing proactive and enhanced precautions at all our training locations in the United States.
As health care professionals we know what to do. We went through the Aids, Eboli epidemics and developed enhanced universal precautions. We were taught how to protect ourselves. When the time comes and we are able to proceed with classes, ESI has will take all the steps necessary to assure you have the tools and supplies to do just that.
How Esthetic Skin Institute is Working to Protect You

- Once you arrive at the training center, you will be directed to the restrooms to wash your hands with antimicrobial soap
- After entering the training area you will be asked to disinfect your hands with a hand sanitizer
- You will be then be directed to the registration area where you will be given protective gloves, your own personal pen for sign in, and you will be given your packet of disinfected materials
- Our classroom (s) have been arranged for one (1) student per table which allows an 8 foot distance between students.
- During the hands – on portion of the class you will be given a mask (if available and not on shortage) and of course we will have enough gloves on hand. Our workstations are so that you will be segregated in your own partitioned work area.
- Our instructors will also go through the same handwashing, disinfecting, gloves, and mask protocols as our students.
As stated before, we are taking these proactive measures to maintain a safe environment across all areas of our training programs at all locations. This includes increasing the rigor in which we disinfect all materials, additional hand sanitizing areas at high traffic areas, and using fully disposable medical supplies as well as cleaning supplies. We encourage students to use the sanitizing wipes made available throughout the classroom to foster a clean and safe atmosphere. The ESI training center is equipped with a couple of high medical grade air purifiers which are constantly running.
If you become ill, have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 or have traveled outside the country in the last 14 days, we are ask that you reschedule your classes to a future date.
There are currently no recommendations restricting travel within the US for healthy adults.
We must all follow the guidelines if we are to get through this difficult time. When the time comes and classes start up again, we look forward to seeing you at a training session very soon.
